Aim
The design and development of multiple materials with appropriate characteristics for biopackaging alternatives in the F&B, pharma, and other industries, and selection of key materials for commercially scalable business models using material flows from agriculture residues to generate sidestream income for farmers.
Key Outcomes
Identification, design and development of multiple materials obtained from agricultural residues with appropriate physiochemical and biological characteristics for selected F&B, pharma, and other industries.
Optimization of selected bio-based materials for industrial use cases.
Development of scientifically and contextually grounded business models focusing on overcoming barriers through stakeholder interactions.
Transition strategies to enable Indian industries and Governmental bodies to transition to more sustainable bio-based materials and material flows.
